Type a five-letter word.
Crack today's five-letter word in ten tries. After each guess you get a reading, but a coded one. A filled dot means one of your letters is right and in the right spot. A ring means one of your letters is in the word but in a different spot. You're never told which letters they are.
That's the puzzle: compare your guesses, work out which letters must be in and which must be out, and close in on the word. Tap any letter in your guesses to mark it out โ or in โ as you go. Every answer has five different letters.
The number beside each guess is how many words could still be the answer. Watch it fall as the lock gives way: when it reaches 1, you've cracked it, and you just need to work out which word it is.
